on and on and on. It is about muddling through the middle.
Writing Inspired Savings has had its challenges. Starting it online meant learning a new program. That was a big hurdle. Technical glitches were frustrating. My plans to write would be interrupted by unexpected problems or opportunities. Often I would be caught off guard by something I was writing and realize I needed to listen to myself and follow my own advice! Sometimes I just didn’t feel inspired.
Once when I was ready to give up, I received a touching email. Someone who was in a domestic violence situation had read that day’s post and it gave her the extra support to go to a shelter to get help. On another down day someone else wrote that reading Inspired Savings helped her get a new job with a higher salary because she “went for it.” Those emails and many others helped me “muddle through the middle.” It made those days special knowing people were inspired to take control of their money and their lives!
I was also proud of myself that I did the project little-by-little. It was time consuming, but each small part added up to completing a big project. That’s what I hope for you—that whatever challenges you take on or that life throws at you—you will break it down into manageable pieces and conquer it one step at a time and do it! I hope that as you muddle through the middle you will persevere and hear a word of encouragement to help keep you going. You can take control of your money and your life one day at a time!
